The rapid industrialization of Southeast Asia has, in almost all cases, left the surrounding environmentss in ruins. To counter these standard operating procedures, local citizens, government officials, and environmental watch-groups are insisting upon proper waste management facilities supported by trained professionals. Moreover, as these countries shut down their current open-dump system, upgrade their waste handling system, and push for transparent operating practices, the need for improved environmental infrastructure and quality waste management services using local people will only grow.

MAEH has proven that it can provide Southeast Asia's highest quality waste management services while meeting or exceeding local and international operating standards. As a result, MAEH is uniquely positioned for tremendous growth. MAEH specializes in the core business of owning and/or operating facilities and uses the following approach for expansion within the region:

• "Green Field" development
• Purchase small country-specific operations or contracts and then improve/augment and expand the operation to other MAEH service lines
• Direct acquisition of large underutilized or poorly managed facilities to "turnaround" the business and refurbish the assets

The map above shows some of the locations MAEH has identified as prospects for future expansion including the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. Many public and private waste management facilities operating in the region require investments to upgrade their technology, equipment, facilities, and expertise. MAEH has the technical competence and the human capital to service these markets, and with additional funding we can grow even further throughout the region.
